{"id":1884,"date":"2017-07-28T20:53:09","date_gmt":"2017-07-28T20:53:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/?p=1884"},"modified":"2017-08-01T15:38:16","modified_gmt":"2017-08-01T15:38:16","slug":"infusionsoft-form-tool-using-this","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/2017\/07\/28\/infusionsoft-form-tool-using-this\/","title":{"rendered":"Infusionsoft Form Tool \u2013 Are You Using This Yet?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you use Infusionsoft and WordPress, and you want to simplify and beautify (that\u2019s a word right?!), your opt-in forms, there\u2019s an easy solution\u2026the Infusionsoft Form Tool WordPress plugin.<\/p>\n<p>This new plugin allows you to create opt-in forms right inside of WordPress so you don\u2019t have to switch back and forth between applications, you can design it right on the page and easily add forms on multiple pages too.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s easy to get started, and we have all the steps below:<\/p>\n<h2>Step One: Install the Plugin in WordPress<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Sign into your WordPress admin account.<\/li>\n<li>Within WordPress admin view, navigate to the <strong>Plugins\u00a0<\/strong>tab on the sidebar.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Add New\u00a0<\/strong>tab under the <strong>Plugins<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Search for <strong>Infusionsoft Official Opt-In Forms<\/strong>\u00a0from the search bar found on the top right corner of the WordPress plugin directory view or <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/infusionsoft-official-opt-in-forms\/\">click here to download it directly<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1895 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-1.png\" alt=\"Infusionsoft WordPress Plugin\" width=\"2308\" height=\"252\" srcset=\"https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-1.png 2308w, https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-1-300x33.png 300w, https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-1-768x84.png 768w, https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-1-1024x112.png 1024w, https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-1-1080x118.png 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 2308px) 100vw, 2308px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Step Two: Connect to Infusionsoft<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>In WordPress you\u2019ll now see a new item on the left menu: Infusionsoft.<\/li>\n<li>Hover over this menu item and click <strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>New Account<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Enter your application name. This is in your browser window, right before Infusionsoft.com. For example: abc123.infusionsoft.com. Your application name would be abc123.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your API key. Log into Infusionsoft; select <strong>Settings<\/strong> from the Admin menu. Scroll all the way down the page and you\u2019ll see a section called: API. From that section copy the text next to Encrypted Key Value.<\/li>\n<li>Go back to WordPress and paste the value you just copied into the API key field.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Authorize<\/strong> button \u2013 you\u2019ll be all set!!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1894 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"604\" height=\"254\" srcset=\"https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-2.png 604w, https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-2-300x126.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 604px) 100vw, 604px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Step 3: Create an Opt-In Form:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>From the WordPress dashboard, click on the Infusionsoft link to expand the sidebar and click <strong>Opt-in Forms<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1893 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"604\" height=\"254\" srcset=\"https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-3.png 604w, https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-3-300x126.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 604px) 100vw, 604px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click on the <strong>New Opt-In<\/strong> button on the top right corner of the page from the <strong>Opt-In Forms\u00a0<\/strong>sidebar tab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1892 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"604\" height=\"254\" srcset=\"https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-4.png 604w, https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-4-300x126.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 604px) 100vw, 604px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Choose what type of opt-in form you would like to use:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pop Up Opt-In Form<\/strong>: The form will appear automatically after a specific amount of time, after visitors reach a particular point on your page, or even after visitors leave a comment or make a purchase \u2013 your choice!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fly In Opt-In Form<\/strong>: This form slides in at the bottom of your visitor\u2019s screen, and you can set it to appear after a specific time or at a specific point on the page.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Widget Opt-In Form<\/strong>: Use widget forms to create attractive opt-in forms for your sidebar, footer, or any other widget-friendly areas on your website.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Locked Content Opt-In Form<\/strong>: Protected content forms allow you to offer content your visitors can \u201cunlock\u201d by opting in.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Below Post Opt-In Form:<\/strong> You can use \u201cBelow Content\u201d forms to place an opt-in opportunity at the end of your blog posts or pages. Visitors who read an entire post are highly engaged, so this is an effective way to turn that engagement into a conversion.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Inline Opt-In Form:<\/strong> Want to insert an opt-in form in the middle of a blog post, rather than the end? Inline forms make it easy. Some of the ones we think you\u2019ll use most often are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Trigger after time delay and how long<\/strong>: You can control when you want your form to appear.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Trigger when a page element is clicked<\/strong>: If a visitor clicks a link your form will appear<\/li>\n<li><strong>Limit to one display per session<\/strong>: Allows visitors to have a good website experience<\/li>\n<li>Choose where to display your form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/help.infusionsoft.com\/userguides\/marketplace-apps\/infusionsoft-wordpress-plugin\/create-a-wordpress-opt-in-form\">Click here to view all available options.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once you have customized the above settings, you are finished the form setup process!<\/p>\n<h2>Step 4: Finalize Your Form<\/h2>\n<p>To finalize, you must click the gray\u00a0<strong>Save &amp; Exit<\/strong> button at the bottom of the <strong>Display Settings<\/strong> tab, and you\u2019re all set.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to use your form as part of a campaign, follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Navigate to <strong>Campaign Builder<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>From the campaign goal section on the left-hand sidebar, locate the <strong>WordPress Goal<\/strong> goal and drag it onto the <a href=\"http:\/\/help.infusionsoft.com\/glossary#Campaign_Canvas\">campaign canvas<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1886\" src=\"https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-10.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"381\" srcset=\"https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-10.png 600w, https:\/\/smarttofinish.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IS-10-300x191.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>With the <strong>WordPress Goal<\/strong> on the canvas, double-click on the goal to designate which Infusionsoft WordPress opt-in form completes this campaign goal.<\/li>\n<li>Select the name of the opt-in form from the drop-down list.
